Dolores attended Fresno City College for 2 years and worked to receive her associate's degree in accounting and bookkeeping. She put her degree to good use, and worked for Dr. William Wong in his medical office, an advertising agency, and even helped her husband with the books for his air conditioning and heating company.
Dolores was married to her husband, Gilbert Lee, for over 50 years until Gilbert’s passing when he was 88 years old. Dolores' greatest joy in life was spending time with her children. She enjoyed an active social life, going to church, singing in the church choir, and even participating in the bell choir. Dolores was a devout Christian and a great example of what a prayer warrior should be. She was dedicated to daily prayer and her devotions. She was a great mother, and she will be sorely missed.
Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Lee. She is survived by her 5 children: Ruthanne Fung and spouse Randy Fung; Steven Lee and spouse Claudia Lee; Diana Lopez and spouse Johnny Lopez; Russell Lee and spouse Anita Lee; and Richard Lee and spouse Mitsuko Lee. Dolores is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Grandson Jordan Lee and spouse Kelli Lee, and their 1-year-old daughter Aliyah; granddaughters Samantha Lee and Audrey Lee, and grandson Bryce Lee.
A closed casket visitation for Dolores will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel, located at 202 N Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A funeral service for Dolores will follow the visitation, also at Stephens and Bean Chapel, starting at 10:00 am. A committal service will immediately follow the chapel service, taking place at Mountain View Cemetery, located at 1411 W Belmont Avenue, Fresno, California.
Dolores' family asks that any floral donations made are "living flowers", so that they may be transplanted to Dolores' garden to continue their growth and further their beauty.
