She was the devoted wife of the late George F Melfe. Dorothy graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School and was an active member of the Italian Catholic Federation in Fresno. She donated countless hours at Saint Agnes Medical Center as a volunteer for patient care. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help on a regular basis up until her injury.
She is survived by sons Frank Melfe and wife Lynelle, Richard Melfe and wife Julie, Robert Melfe and wife Saroya, daughter Donna Melfe Yparrea and husband Steve. Brother Richard Renna, Sisters Annette Scelzi and Margie Von Furstenrecht. 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
