

Edwin "Ed" Signar Lundstrom was born on October 13, 1921, to Olaf Paul and Signe Victoria (Bertlin) Lundstrom in Porterville, CA. He was the forth of their six children, Mae Marian (Slaven) McCollister, Olaf Sigurd, Carl Rudolph, Bert Harold, and Arthur Vernon, all who preceded him in death. He passed away peacefully in his home, on Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Following graduation from Madera High School, he served honorably in the United States Army overseas under General Patton during World War II. He met the love of his life, Jean (Vien) Lundstrom at the Old Ross Ballroom in 1945, and they were married on May 4, 1950. They spent many of their best years enjoying RV travel, fishing, card games with family and friends, and dancing together. For 62 years, he showed an unwavering devotion to Jean, never leaving her side until her passing in 2012.
Bethany Lutheran Church in Kerman, CA, was also an important love of Ed's, where he was an active lifetime member. Ed retired from Facsco Air Conditioning in Fresno, after many years of loyal employment.
Edwin Signar was a man truly loved and respected by all who knew him and will be missed tremendously.
He is survived by his many nephews and nieces; as well as Jean's family in Minnesota.
A Cryptside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
