Emily Palacios

Emily Palacios passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Fresno, California, to the late Jesse and Maria Vela, and grew up with deep roots in the Central Valley . Emily was one of eight children Vacilio, Rudy, Lina, Cora, Joe, Tony and Rosa.

She work for the IRS for 20 years in Fresno, California of which she retired from.

In 1955, Emily fell in love with and married Aurelio Palacios. Together they shared 67 years of love, devotion, and family. As a loving wife and mother, Emily was blessed with three sons — Michael, Mark, and Paul.

Emily and Aurelio built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and hard work. She took great pride in her family and especially cherished her grandchildren Mikey (who now welcomes her in Heaven), Steven, Kurtis, Noah, Dante, AJ, Alex, and David. Her legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren Luke, Ayden, Amariah, Aaliah, Nattiel, Harper & Olivia.

Emily will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strength, and her deep love for her family. She leaves behind a lasting example of faith, kindness, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

A viewing will take place on Friday, November 7th, 2025, from 5:00pm to 6:30 pm followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave Fresno, CA 93720.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave Fresno, CA 93720., followed by a reception.
