Enrique was born to Enriqueta Peralta and Samuel Ballesteros on October 2, 1942, in Lima, Peru. Enrique came to the United States as a young man where he met Nelly Leclere and together, they raised three beautiful children.
He is survived by his sister Emma; his daughters Maria, Cecilia, and Patricia and their respective spouses; four grandchildren Samuel, Alessandro, Nicolas, and Luna. He also leaves behind an extensive extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Enrique was beloved by many and will always be remembered for his love of singing, dancing, cooking, spending time with his family and unique ability to make just about anyone smile. Enrique was an extremely hard worker, retiring after 25 years of service for California State University, Fresno.
Enrique set a great example of what it meant to be a doting father and grandfather, loving husband, loyal brother, caring uncle and overall wonderful human being. He will be greatly missed but not soon forgotten.
First and foremost, Enrique’s daughters would like to thank their mother Nelly Leclere Ballesteros for taking care of their father these last few years. It was clear that her dedication and devotion to him during these difficult times meant everything to him. Their love and friendship was something to be admired for so many reasons and they are so very thankful and grateful to her.
The family would also like to thank the nurses at Hinds Hospice for all their help making Enrique’s last days as comfortable as possible. All remembrances can be made to Hinds Hospice in lieu of flowers in his honor.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.whitehurstsullivan.com for the Ballesteros family.
