Evelyn Arden passed away on January 24, 2021 in Fresno at San Joaquin Gardens. She was 95 years old, born on May 6, 1925 in Hoquiam, Washington to Sina and Oscar Oren. They immigrated to the United States in 1923. The family moved to California in 1927, living mostly in Reedley, up until 1943.
During WWII, they moved to Fresno. Evelyn graduated from Roosevelt High School.
She met Herbert Arden and they married in August, 1943. She was a housewife and worked in the fall in the late 50s and early 60s at the USDA Cotton Office.
After her husband passed in 1980, she married Frank Arena in October, 1982.
They moved from Visalia to Fresno in 1984. Frank passed in 2005.
Evelyn is survived by her son Herb Arden and his wife, Esther, as well as her granddaughter Kris Arden-Wen and her husband, Jerry.
Private family services will be held.
