Fred Junior Hitson

He was raised as a young man primarily in Taft, CA and lived and worked in Fresno, CA most of his adult life. He worked many years for the US Immigration and Naturalization Service and later as a private immigration consultant to help people with citizenship matters. He served as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy during WW II.

Fred was honest, direct, friendly, well-liked, organized, neat and frugal. He was interested in history and loved researching the Hitson family genealogy.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years Lily Ganduglia Hitson, his sons Brian J Hitson and Bruce L Hitson, and his sister Hazel Weidman.

A memorial service for family only will be held due to current restrictions on large group gatherings.
