He was a resident of Fresno, and a 1954 graduate of Fresno High School. After his Naval service, he worked as a Technician for
PG & E for 37 years until his retirement in 1993. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, horse racing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; his sister, Sylvia Charlson; his son, Douglas Gagle; stepchildren, Pamela Hoffman, Michael Rocker and Jeffrey Rocker; nephew, Eric Charlson; and 15 grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
