Gilbert Cruz Barbo

Gilbert Cruz Barbo was born in Mesa, AZ February 4, 1921 and passed away Thurs- day, August 16, 2012. He was a retired Fig Farmer and a World War II Army Veteran (334th Airborne Com- mandos) 1942- 1946.

Dad was a very gracious and giving man with the greatest sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. So loved, so missed. So very dear.

Many heart felt thanks to the staff at Golden Living Center (Reedley) Dr. Alex, Sonia, Sharon and ALL the PCAs and also Asera Care Hospice, Gayle and especially his favorite "Rajinder".

He was preceded in death by his wife, Am- alia; and son, Gilbert Jr.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Rey and his wife Sandra of Selma; daughters and spouses Eloisa and Ramiro Chavira of Madera, Molly and Leo Trujillo of Yuba City, Nadine and Wally DeOchoa of Selma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary, at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
