It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Marez Trevino, who entered eternal rest on May 11, 2025. Born in 1935, Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and strength touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfonso Trevino, Jr., who passed away on November 23, 2020.
Gloria leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her loving family: her daughter Irene Schmidt; her son Edward Trevino and his wife Sylvia; her son Michael Trevino and his wife Teresa; her daughter Laura Smoke and her husband Leo; and her son Frank Trevino and his wife Angel.
She is also survived by her beloved 18 grandchildren and 10 cherished great-grandchildren.
Gloria’s love for her family, her faith, and her quiet resilience will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
A recitation of the holy rosary for Gloria will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 E. Champlain Drive, Fresno, California 93730, followed by a mass of christian burial at 10:00 AM.
