Granville Ingram Jr., a beloved, compassionate, and resilient man, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 24, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, to Granville Ingram Sr. and Addie Ingram, Granville spent his formative years in Fresno, California, where he received his education. He attended Holy Redeemer, Carver Elementary, Wawona Middle School, and McClane High School.
After graduating from McClane High School, Granville furthered his education in Auto Mechanics at Fresno City College. He dedicated 16 years to working on cars until 1986, when he transitioned into Construction, becoming a Union Iron Worker until his retirement in 2022.
Granville was a loving father to his son and daughter, Mark and Alesha Howard, and a devoted grandfather to his two grandchildren, Ayla and Walter Howard. He cherished his roles as father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend, and, during his marriage, a husband.
A man of faith, Granville received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and honored the Lord with his God-given talents. He enjoyed fishing, metalworking, cooking, and spending time with his family. Family gatherings were his passion, known especially for his BBQs. Granville loved spending time with his sisters, sharing jokes, and creating cherished memories with his grandson, granddaughter, and numerous friends.
Granville is preceded in death by his father, Granville Ingram Sr., and his mother, Addie Ingram. He is survived by his children, Mark and Alesha Howard, and his grandchildren, Ayla and Walter Howard. He is also survived by his sisters, Regina Ellis and Gilda Ingram; nephews Princeton Ford, Gary Ellis II, and Landon Ellis; and his niece, Krystal Ingram.
Visitation will be held on June 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706-1310. The Funeral Service will take place on June 25, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the same venue. Following the service, a Committal Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, 1411 W Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93728, from 12:15 pm.
Serving as Pallbearers are Princeton Ford, Gary Ellis II, Landon Ellis, Mark Lewis, Vincent Taylor, and Anthony Norman.
