August 1, 1961 – May 1, 2025
Gregory Coleman Talbot, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno, California. He was 63 years old.
Born in Porterville, California, on August 1, 1961, Greg moved to Fresno in 1962, where he was raised and spent most of his life. He built a career as a dedicated Territory Manager for Assa Abloy, where he traveled throughout the state visiting hardware stores, selling products, and creating beautiful displays. His natural ability to connect with others made him a valued partner and friend across the industry.
Greg’s passions were as wide-ranging as his talents. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, kayaking, grilling, woodworking, and cooking. He was endlessly curious and had a remarkable ability to master whatever he put his mind to—from constructing backyard projects to creating elegant floral arrangements for special occasions. Whether preparing a gourmet meal or building something by hand, Greg brought thoughtfulness, creativity, and heart to everything he did.
Greg lived by the words, “Be the reason someone smiles today,” a quote proudly displayed in his office and reflected in how he lived his life. Known for his warm personality, quick smile, and gift of conversation, Greg made lasting connections wherever he went. He cherished time with his family, always ready to fire up the barbecue to celebrate birthdays, holidays, or simply a beautiful day.
Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Leslie, and his two sons, Nicholas and Nathan, along with their wives, Candace and Sage. He is also survived by his father, Maurice, and his brother, Jeff. Greg leaves behind four beloved grandchildren—Reid, James, Owen, and Claire—as well as countless family members and friends who loved and supported him.
Greg now joins his mother, Diane Talbot, who passed away in March of 2019.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, located at 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
Greg’s life was a testament to kindness, hard work, and boundless love. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
