Mercedes leaves behind her husband, Ildefonso, daughter Lucy V. Hendrix of Fresno, sons Ray and Alfonso Vasquez of Tracy, brother Ramiro Castillo of Sacramento, sister Lupe Avila of Texas, grandchildren Jennifer Hendrix-Shutt, Russel Hendrix, Stevie Ray Hendrix, Christopher I. Vasquez, and Jessica N. Vasquez, and great-granddaughter Marilyn Shutt.
A visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held at St. Anthony Mary Claret Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Interment will follow at St Peter’s Cemetery.
