Helen was born in Wilton, ND, and she was the founder of Northwest School System (1975-2000), one of Fresno's first Christian private schools.
She is survived by her daughters, Donette L. Zuroff of Glendive, MT, Jeanee D. Atkinson of Fresno, CA; and son, William S. Cummings of Salem, OR; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and respective spouses.

A celebration will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Community Church, 1744 E. Nees Avenue, Fresno.
