HUMBERTO (BERT) DA FONTE
Bert, 83, died from cancer complications,
April 29, 2025, Clovis, CA. He was born
May 16, 1941, in Faial, Azores. He was
The son of Antonio Da Fonte &
Maria Francisca Fontes.
Bert completed high school and traveled to
The US to start a better life. He worked for
Bill Erickson for many years as a milker and
Later, John De Groot & Sons, as a Herdsman
For many years. Married: October 25, 1964, to
Geraldine Wright- Da Fonte. They had 4 children
Gerry M. Da Fonte- Sanchez,
Humberto Bert Da Fonte Jr.,
Mark A. Da Fonte, and
Steven L. Da Fonte.
In 1979, Bert purchased cows
And started his own Dairy Farm and continued with
His own family, children and grandchildren for
Over 30 years. Bert was a very hard worker and
He will never be forgotten.
Bert was a member of the Cabrillo Club in Easton, CA
Donating many cows through the years for Portuguese
Celebrations.

Several other nieces, nephews and Family.
Though the barn is quiet now, Bert’s spirit
Will live on in every sunrise.
