Irene Emmanuel Guidi

Irene immigrated to the United States with her family in 1947. Many opportunities resulted in travels across the United States with a final destination in Clovis, California with her parents and brother.

Irene married George Guidi in 1958. They were blessed with a son and daughter into their family in 1960 and 1963. Irene was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother of two grandsons.

Irene treasured her in faith in God, family and togetherness as an important part of her life. She became an active member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Fresno, California. Irene enjoyed helping others and serving the ministries of her church. Ultimately, she became a long standing member of the Athena Philoptochos Society.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, George Guidi, in 2008.

Irene is survived by her brother Alex Giannaros and wife Effie of Millbrae, CA, her son Mario Guidi of Fresno, CA and daughter Chrysi and her husband Mitcheal Word and two grandsons of Modesto CA, as well as her two nieces in Millbrae, CA.

A Trisagion and Funeral Service will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
