

James Rosetta, age 95, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, after a brief illness.The son of Italian immigrants, Antonio and Amabele Rossetto, Jim was born on November 28, 1919, in Richmond, CA.
Despite the challenges of the Depression and of being in foster care, he was able to graduate from Kerman High School and Fresno Technical Jr. College. He attended Fresno State College until joining the army in 1941. During the war, he served as an Administrative Specialist at Camp Pinedale where he earned the rank of Technical Sergeant. After the war, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad where he met Arlene Holladay Delmarter, his loving wife of nearly 63 years, until her death in 2011.
In 1956, he became co-owner of Fresno Ag Hardware. His work ethic was an inspiration to countless employees throughout the years. He was proud to be affectionately known as "Mr. Fresno Ag." Continuing to work into his 90's, Jim sold his interest in 2012, and then continued his legacy as the inspiration for Clovis True Value in 2013.
Finally accepting retirement, Jim enjoyed playing Bingo with new friends and always kept up with his favorite sports teams. He spent much time with his family, often joining them on jaunts to Table Mountain Casino or Roger Rocka's Theatre. Throughout their long lives, Jim and Arlene enjoyed dancing as well as traveling, including family trips in their motorhome, and tours of Europe, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Arlene; brothers Carl Rosetti and John Rosetta; and infant sister Victoria Rossetto.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Struthers; his children, James and Kathie Delmarter, Lynda Rosetta-Hall, Vicki and Steve Bassett, Donna Rosetta-Hansen and Brad Hansen; his grandchildren, Mike and Christie Delmarter, Mark and Nicole Delmarter, Laura and Geoff Quiring, Adam and Jessica Klusener, Kelly Hall, Melanie Hall, Greg Hansen, Emily Hansen, Sanja and Joel Bugay, and Cheryl and BaIt Burns; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
