Jessie went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2019 at the age of 78; she was born on November 17, 1940 in Fresno, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cleotilde (Tillie) Avila Rodriguez and Thomas M. Rodriguez; her siblings Virginia Wilson, Phyllis Rodriguez, Mary Canepa, Josie Lopez and Thomas J. Rodriguez.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Parker and her siblings: Manuel Rodriguez, Frank Rodriguez, and Julia Cano. Jessie leaves also many nieces and nephews and treasured friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Elma Wilson and Maria V. Guglielmino; they blessed Jessie with many years of spiritual friendship, love, laughter and in her final months never left her side.
Jessie grew up in Fresno and San Jose, California. She previously worked for Fresno Community Hospital and eventually retired from Guard Express after 13 years. She filled her retirement years as a willing servant for the Lord; she was involved in many Catholic ministries such as Matthew 25 Ministry, Jail Ministry and Homeless Ministry. She was a Third Order Secular Franciscan. Jessie spent many hours as a prayer warrior and she enjoyed a Catholic Pilgrimage tour to Italy and many Catholic Retreats at Three Rivers. Jessie loved the ocean; she spent happy times there with her daughter and friends.
