On July 17, 1939, Joe married Rita Navarrette. They had eight children, Joe Jr., Mike, Robert, David, Rosemary, Marian, Eva and Sophie.
Joe lived and worked in Fresno, CA, at a ranch on Rolinda and Barstow for 46 years. After his long career, he retired and lived in Fresno.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita, of nearly 60 years; sons, Mike and Robert; daughter and son-in-law, Sophie and Hank Tittle; son-in-law, Sonny Jackson; grandson, Michael Amaro; and his great-granddaughter, Rayshelle Venegas.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Joe and Lily, David and RB, Rose and Chuck Jenkins, Marian Jackson, and Eva and Richard DeLaCerda. Joe is also survived by many grandchildren, countless great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Church on Friday, January 13, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
