Josephine Ledezma

She was born and raised in Parlier, CA. She graduated from Parlier High School in 1959. She also attended Reedley College. After her retirement from the Internal Revenue Service in 2012, it seems like Josie's second life began. She was busier than ever. She had even more time to help others. She loved to travel. She was able to enjoy London, Paris, Rome, Alaska, Cancun, Hawaii and New York, just to name a few destinations.

Josie tirelessly dedicated her life to her daughters and her grandchildren. She was passionately devoted to her Catholic faith. She enjoyed attending her daily morning mass. She always took the opportunity to volunteer or donate her time when her church needed her. She was an ultimate giver. She was always putting others needs before hers. She gave until the very end. By donating her kidneys and liver, she was able to save the lives of three people. This act of giving defines who Josie was and how she lived her life. She set an amazing example for her children and grandchildren to follow. She was the rock that kept all of her family close. She will be deeply missed but her treasured memories and selfless acts of kindness will forever live in on our hearts. "God bless you Momma."

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rafaela Alvarez Rodri- guez; father, Jose Avila Rodriguez; and brothers, Lalo and Albert Rodriguez, all from Parlier.

She is survived by her three daughters, Minerva Ledezma, Roxanne Vera, and Elaine Castillo; two sons-in-law, Pete Vera, and Joe Castillo; five grandchildren, Desiree Vera, Christopher Vera, Joseph Castillo, Savanah Castillo, and Elijah Castillo; and one great grandchild, Brennen Cardenas.

A Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, on Bethel Avenue in Sanger, CA, on Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:00pm., followed with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, on Bethel Avenue, on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., with the interment to follow at Parlier Cemetery.
