She is survived by her husband James Dean White, her mother Mary B. Egan, her sister Karyn Lynn Cameron and her brother Max J. Emberton.
She was predeceased by her father Raymond B. Emberton.
Kathryn graduated from Bullard High School in June 1967 and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in January, 1968 while attending Fresno City College. Thus began a life long battle with a particularly severe form of MS. However, she did not let this define her.
She met her future husband in September of 1969 whom she later married on March 12, 1971. They were married for 45 years until her passing.
She graduated from Stanislaus State College on May 26, 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences.
Kathryn was a constant support and helper to her husband throughout her life and brought a sense of God's peace and mercy to all she met along the way. She was at times active in Sunday school, charitable organizations, chaplain's aide at the Veterans Hospital in Fresno, Bible studies, and prayer groups.
She opened her home to students from Azusa Pacific University, where her husband was a professor. Many sought her out to pray for them, and she was considered by many to be a great prayer warrior. Kathryn was an inspiration to all who met her because of her indomitable spirit in the face of severe illness, her deep love for those she ministered to, and her insightful advice and comfort to those who confided in her.
