Born in Dos Palos on April 7, 1929 to Derwin and Elsie Brown. He graduated from Fresno High School and began working for Pacific Gas and Electric but was drafted as an infantryman in the Korean War in 1951. In 1952 he was seriously injured and awarded the Purple Heart. After healing he returned to the front until he was Honorably Discharged in 1952.
Ken returned to Fresno and married his high school sweetheart, RoseMarie Musto in 1953. He resumed working for PG&E where he continued working until his retirement 45 years later.
Ken is survived by his wife, RoseMarie of 67 years; daughter, Debbie and son-in-law Steve Hrdlicka; son Randy and daughter-in-law, Sheri Brown; grandchildren, Jamie Hrdlicka, Brent and Stefie Hrdlicka, Megan and Ryan Cook, Craig and Kelsie Brown, Shannon and Simeon Alibrando; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Ava and Harper Brown, Evelyn and Jack Alibrando; and this summer two more great-grandchildren will be added to the family.
Nothing was more important to Ken than his family. Always looking after them until the end. He truly appreciated his “nurse” RoseMarie and enjoyed family dinners, root beer, vanilla milkshakes and ice cream.
He will be missed.
Remembrances may be made in Ken’s name to the American Heart Association.
