Kenneth John Mader was born on June 13, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away on July 31, 2011 of natural causes. He was 79. He was in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant from 1949 to 1954 and served during the Korean War.
Kenneth received a BA from California State University, Fresno, attended UCLA graduate school and received an MBA from California State University, Fresno. He started working in 1962 at the Fresno County Auditor-Controller's office and eventually became Chief Auditor. He was then named the County Mental Health Administrator. He also taught Government Accounting at California State University, Fresno and was a very well liked professor. Kenneth retired in 1995 after working as Director of Finance for State Center Community College District. He was an active member of the community and belonged to a number of local organizations.
His parents, John and Rose Mader, and his younger brother Norman Mader, preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sisters, Corrine Lamb, Juanita Bennett and Sandra Mader; daughter, Lisa Mader Mendoza; grandchildren, Bailey Mendoza and Taylor Mendoza.
