Kevin was a good classmate, I can’t think of anytime he was rude or unkind. I remember him as a humble person and my memories of him inspire me to be a better person. 


My husband and I were able to attend the memorial service in Reedley last weekend. It was so uplifting to hear the many stories about Kevin and the imprint he left on so many lives. He loved his family and friends passionately!

Although we live in Colorado, we have maintained occasional contact with Kevin through the years. I was in the same class as Kevin at Immanuel High School. We ran with the same group of friends, and Kevin was kind to everyone. I think everyone thought he was their best friend! 

My husband Jon was Kevin's flight instructor for most of his advanced ratings. Jon eventually went on to fly for United Airlines, and Kevin ended up at Southwest. Jon planned an aviation reunion for Reedley area pilots in April 2019. Kevin attended, and it was so good to catch up with him. I think of him every day when I add  Vital Proteins to my coffee (his recommendation).  Jon is still plugging away at "No More Christian Nice Guy," a book that Kevin said changed his life. We had a few conversations in the past year about Kevin's opportunity to take a buyout from Southwest Airlines and retire early. Jon and I encouraged him to take advantage of it - but Kevin ultimately decided to keep working since he loved flying. 

We are both still in shock over this tremendous loss. Kevin was a gem. There must be great rejoicing in heaven welcoming him!

As a side note, we really enjoyed music from Crush at the Memorial Service. Does anyone know if the group has a CD? We would love to purchase one with Kevin at the keyboards. 

Ruddy and I met Kevin in 1990 when came on mission outreach to our station where we worked as missionary.    We were at Smokey Mountain, ministering to the people living in the garbage dump of Manila.  Kevin and his team served the people the best they can.  I remember Kevin singing and playing the keyboard too.  He was a student I think about to graduate, he was "poor" yet made a commitment to support our work amongst the poor.   He remain a faithful supporter till the end, we received his  support last July - and Ruddy and I were thinking of sending him the book Sacred Fire by Ron Rolheiser, as a birthday gift for him.   The book reminds us so much of Kevin, but now Kevin does not need the book because he's face to face with Jesus.   We love you Kevin, thank you for your faithfulness.  

When I heard of Kevin’s passing, I was stunned and shaken, in a state of disbelief.  It just didn’t seem possible.  All my prayers and compassion to Kevin’s family.  
I have so many memories that include Kevin.  I have known Kevin since college and I have many fond memories from those years.  Kevin and I shared a love of aviation and I have so many memories of flying with Kevin, not only as neophyte pilots but also at the airlines.  
Kevin was the quintessential friend in the sense that “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”  He sharpened me professionally as a pilot.  He sharpened me intellectually through his love of reading and our discussions of books we had read.  He was always an encouragement to me and a spiritual example.  
I have lived out of state for many years, so our opportunities to meet have been limited.  But I was able to meet with him a few months ago through a set of circumstances that in retrospect I can only attribute to Providence.  I had the pleasure of talking with him for an entire morning after not talking in person for years, and it was as if we hadn’t been apart for a day.  
You will be truly missed my dear friend, and one day we shall meet again.


I heard of Kevin’s passing just yesterday from family in the Reedley community. I am so very sorry to hear of your great loss of your precious son, husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, other cherished family member , friend.  I have so many special memories of Kevin as Brenda’s big brother and his patience with our high school girl energy. I also sang in a small Christian music group that he accompanied- what a skilled musician with such a brilliant ear! I remember his kindness and general quietness- but that he would speak up when he had important things to say.  I have too many memories to share but please know that you are all in my heart and thoughts and prayers. I hope our Comforter brings you peace as you mourn together and alone. I knew Kevin as the awesome pianist for Sweet Fellowship, our high school worship group at RMBC.  He was so talented!  I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.  My condolences to his family whom I have not met.  I look forward to seeing him in heaven

Kevin was a high school friend who was that one guy whom NOBODY ever had a bad moment with. Kind and compassionate we’re two attributes that come to mind remembering Kevin. Sorry for the loss to his family but we have a blessed hope to see him again

We new Kevin a very short time but my husband and I just loved him and Jeannie from the start . He was warm , gentle, positive and an absolute joy of a human .
When we visited Clovis playing cards  and laughing with Kevin, Jeannie and our family was what  we looked forward to most.  In a just short time they felt like part of our own family because of who they are . Their faith in God, their warmth and caring for others , their advisement and thoughtful input for us as young parents is something we will always treasure . We are truly devastated to hear of Kevin’s passing and are grateful to have know him for the time we did .
Our love and prayers surround Jeannie, Morgan and Matthew .

My heart and prayers go out to the entire family….tragic to lose him so soon. 

I loved flying with Kevin he was a very interesting, fun and easy going guy. Kevin you will be missed by all the people you have come into contact with.  You made a difference in many peoples lives.
