

Larry was the son of George and Elizabeth Huck. He was born on August 26, 1931, in Fresno and passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, at the age of 80. Larry attended Kirk Elementary School where he got his start in music playing the trumpet. He attended Edison High School then Fresno State College earning his Masters Degree in Music. After college he enlisted in the U.S. Army and became a member of the 6th Army Band at the Presidio of San Francisco. During his service he married Frances Haar on March 6, 1954. Returning to Fresno he taught music at Edison High School and at McLane High School for 35 years. He also formed the Scottish Bagpipes and dancers. He was a co-conductor for ten years for the Fresno Community Concert Band. He was the conductor for Tuba Christmas for 20 years which was held every December at Manchester Center.
He is survived by Frances, his beloved wife of 58 years; his brother, Walter Huck; his sister, Betty Thornton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
A Gathering will be held at Fort Washington Golf and Country Club on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
