Laurel Jan Donaldson

31 enero, 1951 – 25 febrero, 2024
Obituario de Laurel Jan Donaldson
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Lisle Funeral Home

My sister, Laurel J. Donaldson of Fresno California, passed away peacefully on February 25th 2024 at the age of 73, from end stage kidney disease. Laurel was born on January 31st 1951 in Fresno and spent most of her life in Fresno with the exception of three years in Oklahoma. My sister worked at the VA Medical Center in Fresno for 32 years where she made many friends and retired in 2008. She was a graduate of Hoover high school, class of 1968 and finished two years of education at Fresno City College. My sister had a great love of animals, especially cats. In 2005, my sister moved in with me and our mother where she continued to live up until her passing. In 1972 Laurel was married and had her only son Brian Donaldson who was the center of her life. Laurel loved watching her and Brian’s favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was also an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and during her retirement hardly ever missed a game on television. I wish to thank Pacific Gardens nursing home and Hinds Hospice for the wonderful care she received in her final weeks.

Laurel is preceded in death by our parents Anne and Jim Hall, our brother David and her son Brian.

Laurel is survived by her sister, Lynn Hall; sister-in-law Lynda Rosetta-Hall; nieces Kelly and Melanie Hall; her grandsons Michael Cox and Matthew Donaldson and great grandson Xavier Cox, all of Dayton, Ohio as well as great grandson Jason Hunnicutt and great granddaughters McKenzie and Kaitlyn Hunnicutt all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Although her grandchildren and great grandchildren lived far away, she always was so proud of them and loved them very much.

At the family’s request, no public services will be held. Remembrances can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
