

Lila Belle Poulsen was born on June 23, 1924 in Sanger, California to Frank and Beulah Cannan. She passed away in Clovis on May 17, 2017 at the age of 92. Lila spent her childhood in Sanger and Kansas, and attended Sanger High School graduating in 1942. Upon graduation, she went to work for the Bank of America. During her tenure at the bank, she met her future husband Kenneth (Ken) Poulsen on a blind date. The two were happily married in 1948, and had three children together, Richard Kenneth, Gary Anthony, and Marla Jean. They were married for 60 years until Ken’s passing in 2008. Ken and Lila owned and operated Poulsen Travel Agency in Fresno for 35 years. They enjoyed traveling the world together.
Lila is survived by her sons Richard Poulsen and his wife Emily of Fresno, Gary Poulsen and his wife Pamela of Las Vegas, and her daughter Marla Poulsen Reisman and her husband Major Michael Reisman of Clovis. She also leaves two grandchildren Elizabeth Poulsen Wiegand and Andrew Poulsen and one great granddaughter Lillianne Poulsen all of whom reside in Fresno. Lila is also survived by her sister Frances Laursen of Morro Bay, brother Wesley Cannan and sister Rosemary Cannan of Fresno, and Jess Cannan of Anderson, California.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home in Fresno, California on Sunday May 28, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
A private graveside service will be held. A memorial reception will be held at a later date.
