Marg trained as a nurse at Vancouver General Hospital, and she married Edward Neufeld, a young doctor, on February 6, 1960. In 1962 Marg and Ed moved to Los Angeles where Ed worked in medical residency. This was followed by moves to Prince George, Vancouver, and back to California (Fresno). In 1967, Ed, Marg and their four young children set off on a five year adventure first to Brussels, Belgium, and then to the Congo where they served as medical missionaries with Mennonite Brethren Missions. In 1972, they settled in Fresno. Here, Marg worked together with Ed in his surgical medical practice until 1992.
Marg loved hosting friends, extended family, children, and grandchildren and was always quick to put together amazing culinary dishes for all to enjoy. She was an avid quilter and passionate gardner.
Marg is predeceased by her brother, John; sister-in-law, Helen and nephews, Darrell and Ryan.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Edward; her four children and their spouses, Patricia Neufeld-Erdman and Chris, Pauline Stobbe and Ray, Philip Neufeld and Debbie, Pamela Celum and John. Thirteen grandchildren are also left with many fond memories of time spent with their grandmother.
