Yolanda as she liked to be referred to. She has been in the agricultural industry all her life. Yolanda migrated to Parlier, CA every year during the harvest season to work the fields with her family, then return to her birthplace McAllen, TX. She would reside there until her family decided to move to Parlier, CA permanently. Yolanda attended Parlier High School. Soon after she had her first child, One year and four months later she gave birth to her second child. Four years later she had her third child, a stillborn baby. Five years after that she had her third child. Seven years later she gave birth to her last child.
Yolanda was a dedicated worker, and became a FloorLady (Supervisor) at numerous packing companies. She enjoyed her job and always took care of her packers/workers, and never forgot where she came from. In her forties she became a dog lover, but never forgot her beloved roses bushes and tended to them joyfully. In her early teens she became interested in music and singing. Whenever she heard a mariachi group she would be more than happy to belt out singing with her beautiful, distinct voice.
She was preceded in death by her parents Monico and Amada Trevino: and an infant daughter Rosie Quintana. Yolanda is survived by her first daughter Veronica Q. Leal and her husband Juan Garcia Leal of Clovis, sons Joe Jimmy Quintana Jr. of Sacramento, and Kazey Daniel Quintana and his wife Michelle Quintana of Fresno, her last daughter Jezzal Eileen Quintana of Fresno, three grandchildren Juan Quintana Leal Jr. of San Antonio, Joe Rodriguez Quintana Jr. and his wife Jovita Quintana of Visalia, Jarran Quintana Leal of Clovis, two great grandchildren Jaden Y. Quintana, and Ava Jade Quintana of Visalia.
Mom, I will miss you with all my heart, but now you have no worries. Full of joy being surrounded by your parents and caring for your daughter Rosie in your arms kissing her cheeks. Tell my sister I will see her and yourself someday. Your loyal and loving daughter.
A Graveside Service for Maria will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Parlier Cemetery District, 7932 S. Mendocino Ave, Parlier, CA 93648.
