My Condolences to the Family

This was the day we had to clean up the store and start packing things away. A very bitter sweet day. I’m really glad I met her and I got to be apart of her life . She was a really really good friend to me and everyone. She always wanted to make everyone feel special and seen. I’m really glad I got to know her she was so sweet❤️

This was after we found out of store was closing we were joking around saying we got fired for talking too much and hoping we would get placed at the same store together.

This was when we went to go look around at other rite aids after we found out our location was closing we didn’t know where we were going just yet.

This was around thanksgiving time at little bit after we both got hired at rite aid. We both started at the same timeat the end of October. Marissa was nothing but a really good friend to me and a mentor she was always there for me in so many ways. She was also so much fun to be around we became friends instantly she was so giving I remember this thanksgiving because I didn’t have one with my family this year I was going through things and it just didn’t happen for my family.  I remember I told her about it and I remember coming in the next day and she brought me 2 plates and said everyone deserves to have a thanksgiving meal and I remember being so touched and happy and just feeling so appreciative that she would do something like that someone I barely knew being so nice and so giving to me.

This was the first picture of myself (Raymond) and Marissa took on our first date in January of 2024.  It was also the day and only time Marissa was ready to go out on time.  As she got in my car she sat down .   I looked at her smiled and said Hi!  Her reply was “stop looking at me” as she had her smirky crooked smile. As we drove off and talked about what we should do.  I looked at her and her reply was “stop it” as she gave that same crooked smile.  I laughed and said “ I can’t help it” and asked “ if she was nervous not to worry we’re going to have a good time”.   Her response to that was “let’s hold hands so it is not so awkward”.  And we held hands all the way to Tachi palace in Lemoore.  On are way we talked and eventually we turned radio on.  Then she played My RuCa and all of sudden she singing with her beautiful smile and her graceful car moves. then out of nowhere she sing so loudly BOP! BOP! BOP! It caught me off guard but that when I learned she had a different type of energy and learned about her love Mac Miller and Sublime.  We listen to them all night.  After me and Marissa were in her own words smacking on some wings, we went to movie and watched the movie she leaned on me and went to sleep as my arm was around her. She woke up mid move and said this movie is not that good.  After the movie we started to head back to the car and I went to open the door for her and that when we had our first kiss, and had me sing songs with her all the way back home. After that we were inseparable.  The one thing about Marissa was her energy and how she can change the atmosphere in seconds.  She was caring positive and will to help if she could.  She loved her family and son so much.  She will missed and always loved.

Sending heart felt condolences to the family.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I pray God's comforting arms are wrqpped around you all at this time. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.  God bless all of you.

My bestie/sis over 10years together we met unexpectedly but when we first met I was so glad to finally meet someone as loud and outgoing as me ❤️It was a done deal after that, We were inseparable after that. At that time I needed you and didn’t even realize it I couldn’t have done it alone with out you. We been through a lot together. We were both single parents leaning on one another. Our events and football games won’t be the same without you! I will miss our phone calls catching up on chisme 😞You will be forever our missing piece at get togethers. I’m so happy to have had you in my life as long as I did ❤️ I know your in Heaven laughing and dancing away 🪽

Marissa and I met in 2017 at Clovis Community College, we had a math class together that first semester. The next semester we had a few child development classes together and that's when our friendship kicked in full gear! We were instant besties! <3 Marissa was so easy to get along with, she was the most down to earth, fun loving, kind hearted person you could ever meet! So grateful that our lives connected when they did. I will forever have her in my heart, and I am thankful to have had such a genuine friendship with her. My deepest condolences to her family, her son Josiah, may god help ease the pain of losing her. May she rest in paradise 🩷

I told Monica, people always say nice things about people at times like this, but this is The absolute truth about Marissa! Marissa was Beautiful inside and out! Full of love and laughter and the most beautiful smile ever. Even if you weren't a loving person Marissa would Make you one, she'd bring that out of you. She did that for me! Always words of encouragement from Marissa, making everyone else feel loved and special, but really She was the Special one! Our loving little sister that brought joy and laughter whenever she was around and that is not an exaggeration! We will forever have a missing part of our hearts, our family forever not complete. I'll miss our long talks, her warm hugs and the love she gave, but really her love was so strong it will never die! How can this be real? Our little ray of sunshine not here anymore, our cheerleader, our little sister so full of love to give, gone... but definitely never forgotten. And I take comfort in knowing she will look over us and she is now our Special Little Angel! also, Heaven seems like it may be just a bit funner now!! I love you always little sister and looking forward to being with you again....

It’s always been me and you and I already feel so lost without you. No matter what, you were the best sister and I wouldn’t have traded our time together for anything, just wish it had been longer. Thank you for being the best Missy and most of the time my kids other parent. Thank you for blessing us with Josiah and for trusting to me to care for him. He’s a living piece of and I’ll always take care of him.

When we were super young. You always said, “Christina(Haro)didn’t wanna be my friend but I made her!” Maybe 13-14? At that time in my life it was true I didn’t want friends, didn’t think I needed them. But you were persistent and said nope we’re gonna be friends! And little did I know you’d be one of the best things that could have happened to me! More than best friends, our kids thought they were cousins for a loooong time and we loved it.  We love you and Josiah! There’s no words to describe how I feel right now and I wish you were here. We love you, The Rodriguez Family.

Thank you for always being there for me everyday through whatever. My Auntie & Best friend. Watch over me always, I thank God always he allowed our paths to cross.🤍

Missy was my best friend from the day I entered this world. She once told me I was the girl she always wanted to be but little did she know she was the coolest person in my eyes I always wanted to be like her. I remember her teal green room with band posters, when she worked at Grizzly stadium, how she knew every song I tried to show her and she was so effortlessly skilled in doing hair and makeup. I always wanted to be cool like her. My heart is broken that she’s no longer here to look up too. I’ll always look for her in a room full of people. I can’t believe it’s real. I’ll miss her forever
