

Mark was born and raised in Fresno. He graduated Roosevelt High in 1974. He was part of Roosevelt's band and debate team. He graduated U.C. Santa Cruz where he obtained a bachelor's degree in History. Mark had a passion for life. He enjoyed helping the community, his friends, and his family. He was an activist at heart and was often found helping others in the community. With the arrival of his grandchild his love for them never seemed to amaze us. He demonstrated the true meaning of a grandfather. Every chance Mark got he spent his time at the happiest place on earth: Disneyland. He enjoyed bowling, gambling, attending Dodgers games and cheering for his grandson's teams. Mark was proceeded in death by his father, Tony Rocha.He is survived by his loving caring and devoted wife, Elizabeth Rocha; his three sons, Robert Perez, Adam Perez, and Anthony Perez; his mother, Teri Rocha; his two sisters, Elizabeth Rocha-Lee and Deborah Halterman; his eight grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
