Marselina Jacinto was born on October 27, 1929 in Doctor Arroyo Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Manuel and Santos Ramirez. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Above all Marselina was a woman of faith. She was resilient and never gave up in life. She was a courageous individual with spunk for life never missing a party. She was naturally compelled to help everyone at anytime and in any way she could. She was a very hardworking woman with strong family values that were passed on to her children.
Marselina loved being surrounded by family and loved spending time with one another. She felt strongly about family being present during special celebrations and always standing united as one.
Marselina loved the outdoors spending a lot of time planting and gardening in the yard. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing and visiting the local flea market. She cared for all her grandchildren ensuring their safety and more importantly their happiness creating many memories to be cherished throughout the years. She enjoyed her life as she lived it. She felt beyond blessed was happily married to her husband of 70 years. She took pride in all she did but, one of the biggest and proudest roles of her life was being a wife and mother.
She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 11, 2019. Marselina was preceded in death by her husband Vicente L. Jacinto, son Enrique Jacinto, sister Andrea Arreazola and 2 brothers; Pascual Ramirez and Elijio Ramirez.
She is survived by her daughter Paula Chavez and son Louie Jacinto; daughter-in-law, Alice; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, and by her five sisters Petra Grimaldo, Lorenza Grimaldo, Olivia Perez, Monica Sandoval, Lidia Reyes and two brothers; Daniel Ramirez and Lino Ramirez.
Visitation will be held at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, 351 E Kearney Blvd. Fresno, CA 93706
Recitation of the Rosary will begin on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church
a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 10:00 am
Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery 264 N. Blythe Ave. Fresno, CA 93706
Reception Celebration and tribute to reflect Marselina Jacinto's life will be held at the Malaga Community Center 3592 S. Winery Ave. Fresno, CA 93725
