Martha was born on November 17, 1916 in Saskatewan, Canada to Peter and Sophia Heffel. The Family migrated to Fresno, where Martha met the love of her life at the Rainbow Ballroom. They had a long and wonderful life together, traveling, entertaining and of course dancing. Martha was a 70 year member of the Loyal Order of The Moose, a long time member of The Edison Social Club and American Legion Post 509. Martha was an 'Avon Lady' for many decades as well.
She will be deeply and greatly missed.
Martha was preceded in death by her younger sister Beatrice.
Martha leaves behind her loving husband of 60 yrs. S.J. Cook, sister Violet Simes, children Susan and Keith, grandchildren Shannon and Terrance, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 2:00 to7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
