

Mary Jane moved to Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated from Whitney Vocational High School and attended Toledo University. She married David Orosco in Toledo Ohio, 1954. Her children; Mark A. Campos (Lori), Theresa J. Orosco- Ashton, David J. Orosco (Linda), Angelina M. Flores (John), twins; Victor A. Orosco (Letica), and Rueben M. Orosco (Norma). She was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She had many adopted children and loved ones that called her mom/grandma.
In 1974, Mary Jane moved to Fresno, CA, where she met and later married Roman Gonzalez and welcomed three stepsons into her life: Roman Gonzalez Jr. (Helen), George Gonzalez (Hortensia), and Andres Gonzalez, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Jane was known for her amazing cooking and made a career out of it. She held various jobs as a cook, including owning a Mexican Restaurant, La Flor de Mexico in Toledo Ohio. Mary Jane became the first female Supervisor cook at the Juvenile hall, 1st female cook at the Fresno County Jail, and retired as a Dietary Supervisor from Chowchilla Prison. After retiring, Mary Jane discovered her passion for writing and started a new career at 73 as an author, publishing a ‘Family Legacy’ book.
She is survived by her siblings, Connie Flores and Frank Campos. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons Victor Orosco, George Gonzalez and her siblings, Charles Campos, John Jr., Dolores Lemon, and Josie Campos.
A memorial service and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 12th from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel.
Mary Jane will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. At this time, there will not be a burial service, but a spreading of her ashes will be done privately by the family.
