Mary Elaine McLain

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill E. McLain, parents, Matthew and Ella Etcheverry, mother, and father- in-law Elvis and Barbara McLain, brother Tim Etcheverry, brother-in-law, Robert Ingram, and nephew Stephen Etcheverry.

Mary was born on July 10, 1950 in Fresno, California to Matthew and Ella Etcheverry. She grew up the youngest and only girl of two brothers Tim and Mark Etcheverry. She was a 1968 graduate of Central Union High School. She married the love of her life Bill E. McLain on August 2, 1969. Together they had two sons, Bruce and Scott. She worked at The Fresno County Library, and later retired from The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Mary loved retirement and enjoyed her family and friends.

She is survived by sons Bruce McLain and wife Susan, Scott McLain and wife Tami, Brother Mark Etcheverry and wife Shelly, Sisters-in-law, Karen Ingram, and Mignon Etcheverry, and many nephews and nieces. She was most proud of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Brittni Luna and husband Fernando Luna, Kimberly McLain, Kaitlyn McLain, Trent McLain, Morgan McLain. Great Grandchildren, Jayden Luna, Javier Luna, and the newest addition Acey Pierce.

As many of you know Mary had a wicked sense of humor. She was always ready to tell you a funny or dirty joke. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, and friend to all. We are at peace knowing she has reunited with her beloved Bill, but she will be greatly missed.
