Mary, age 82, died at the Country Villa Madera nursing facility in Madera, California, on Wednesday, October 4, 2012. She had been suffering from dementia. She was born December 2, 1929, in Irwindale, California. Her parents were Dolores and Placido Chacon. She married Paul G. Rivera on August 30, 1947. They were married for over 54 years before Paul passed away on January 22, 2002.
She is survived by their children, daughter, Cynthia Rivera of Kentfield; sons, Charles Rivera and his wife Donna; Daniel Rivera and his wife Tammie, Dennis Rivera and his wife Diane, and son Lindy and his wife Jill; grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Dawn, Nichole, Agustin, Marcos, Tyler, Troy, and great-grandchildren, Roman, Aiden, Riley, and Gavin.
She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Chacon; and her sisters, Esther Castillo, Lupe Olague; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street in Fresno, California, on Friday, October 12, 2012, 10:00 a.m. Burial Service will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia Ave, in Fresno.
