Mary Genevieve Rosenthal

Mary Genevieve (Schantz) Rosenthal of Clovis, California passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 92.

Mary was born in Watertown, New York to Lloyd and Irene Schantz. She was raised in Lowville, New York. Mary attended The House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, in Watertown, New York where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. After graduation, Mary worked as a Registered Nurse in Michigan and New York before relocating to Fresno, California to go to work for Valley Medical Center. While in Fresno, she met and married Ronald J. Rosenthal. They were married for 51 years before Ronald's death in 2009.

Mary is survived by her children, Cindi, Su, Kathy, and Dave Rosenthal. Her grandchildren, Garrett Rosenthal, Rashelle Rosenthal and Jeremy Mitchell. Her great grandchildren, Georgia Chapa, Noah Mitchell, and Brandon Mitchell. She is also survived by numerous beloved four-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lisle Funeral Home, located at 1605 L Street, in Fresno, California, 93721.
