

Mary was born at home of her grandparent's, John and Maria Compopiano, on the corner of Stanislaus and F streets on December 7, 1920. She was the first child of Americo and Concetta Frediani. She attended Orange Center Elementary School, Washington Union and Fresno Tech High Schools.
She went back to the Lord on August 30, 2014. Mary and George were married on May 11, 1941 and were together for 65 years before George's death on August 30, 2006. She was a homemaker and took care of her family. She loved to sew, making all her own and daughter's clothing. She even made ties for her husband.
Mary's devotion was to the Fresno Veterans Hospital. She volunteered there for 60 years and gave over 30,000 hours of service. She was a 63 year life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served as their State Hospital Representative to the Veterans Hospital for 40 years. She held many offices in the Auxiliary at the Unit and District level, including President of both. Our family would like to thank the Nazareth House for their care of Mary for the past three and a half years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sisters, Bernice Lallo and Josephine Petrucelli. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean Sinopoli; son, Sam Sinopoli; grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, Julia and Lauren; sister, Palmira Smith and her husband Don; brother, Americo Frediani Jr. and his wife Patricia; sister-in-law, Louise Petrucelli; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church,corner of Bullard and Maroa, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Voluntary Service, VA Medical Central CA Health System, 2615 E.
