Dear Nana, I miss you soooooo much! you have been an inspiration to me. You taught me to sew on small cloths and you showed me to make flour tortillas so in return I want to send you my prayers! And one day I just know you and I will meet again and when we do I will give you the hugs and kisses I wanted to give you since you left me. So from this day on I will  pray for you  and  also on my Quincenera come by and dance and have some cake. See you soon!

Aunt Mary one of my favorite and wise elders is finally put to rest her ceremony was beautiful and it was done with some of our traditional yoeme ways I'm very proud to say that I learned about tradition this past week and I will be able to put it into my binder of the past, present and future. I'm also going to put my Tia Marys picture in my book as one of my elders on my mothers side I'm very humbled and blessed to have learned and taken advice from tia even though she had no college degree and very limited schooling she was a very intelligent yaqui female and this is why I will always honor her as my elder who has past .although some of us may be educated and have degrees or high pay jobs we all must remember to be humble and mentor our youth with positive teachings I'm glad to say that my cousin Domingo and Richard have these gualities and. are teaching us tradition as well as humbleness. I would also like to thank my family for great hospitality at my Tia Marys house.

Once upon a time an angel held my hand, 
our time on earth is brief, there's lesson to be learned,she love us unconditionally, always by our side,when no one else would listen, in her we could confide,with gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,Always from the heart lets not forget,Angels come in many forms, for me it is my Mother, there'll will never be another, I pray that I can someday be everything she hoped I would, that she is smiling down from heaven knowing she did good,although it may be hard, we all must understand, Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe.

I still can't sink it in.. Your really gone but not forgotten..Mom I will always Love that you taught me right from wrong. you taught me how to Make Rosaries, Sew & Crocette, Make Tortillas and Cook.I will never go hungry. Mom you left me with so many Beautiful Memories, Remember that trips we took all over the State. still remember all the good times we share.. Tia Maria, you have gone away and left my heart in a million pieces. I know you are in paradise blooming with beautiful white wings, flying with lots of angels.
