

Elaine was born on May 17, 1953 in Fresno, CA to Louie and Tina Luccardo. She graduated from Queen of the Valley Academy in 1971. After high school, she attended California State University, Fresno where she obtained her B.S. degree in Food Science, M.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and became a Registered Dietitian. She worked in this field for nearly forty years in a variety of roles which included clinical dietetics, consulting, and establishing nutrition programs. Along with being a Registered Dietitian, she was a Certified Lactation Educator and worked at the Satellite Dialysis Lab as a Renal Dietitian. Throughout her professional career, she also lectured at CSU, Fresno in Food Science courses.
She and her husband, Rich, enjoyed various outdoor activities in their 35 years of marriage such as backpacking, hiking and cycling. Living near the beach allowed her to spend lots of time being active outdoors. Elaine was an avid runner and athlete. She participated in numerous cross country and 10k races where she often won in her age category. She also had a passion for horses and competed in reining and reined cow horse events.
Elaine was a parishioner at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church in Corralitos. She was an active member of the church community and served as Eucharistic Minister.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louie Luccardo. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wadsworth; mother, Tina Luccardo; brother, Jerry Luccardo; sister, Kathy Ghioldi and her husband, Robert; niece, Alyssa Ghioldi and her husband, Davide Corradini; step-children, Miles Wadsworth and his wife Melissa; Diane Wadsworth and her husband, Danny; and Sara Parker. She also leaves behind 7 step-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on August 29, 2019 at 10:00 am.
