
Upon graduation from Clovis High School in 1938, he attended business college. Mike sold furniture and drapery at various businesses in Fresno and at one time owned his own interior decorating and drapery business.
Upon retirement, Mike loved to travel and garden. He loved his roses. If it was January he traveled to Palm Springs, March to the southwest United States and from May to October to the coasts of California.
The family wishes to thank KayLynn Underdown for her devotion to Mike these past years. Her weekly Tuesday visits were a joy and comfort to Mike. We would also like to thank the staff of the Nazareth House.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elvira Ferrara and his sisters, Filomena Hill, Giovina Ferrara and Yolanda Bringetto.
Mike is survived by his brother, Robert Ferrara and his wife Peg of Academy; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 16, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
A Cryptside Service will be held in the St. Anthony's Chapel at St. Peter's Cemetery, on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.
