Michael Gong-Chun, 68, of Clovis, California, passed away on June 10, 2025. Born on August 21, 1956, Michael lived a life rooted in love, humility, and quiet strength. To know him was to know someone steady, kind, and always present when needed most.
He spent many years working in public service, but Michael’s greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. Whether sharing a meal, offering quiet support, or simply listening, he made those around him feel seen and loved.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Han, and their three children: Michael, Sherri, and Allan, who carry his love in everything they do. He is also remembered with love by his siblings: sisters Kathleen and Arlene, and brother Christofer. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Shan and Jong Chun, his brother David, and his sister Anngelene—all of whom he loved dearly and who now welcome him home.
Though he may be gone from our sight, the impact of his life remains in the hearts of those who loved him. Those who knew him best remember a man who never needed to raise his voice to be heard. Michael led by quiet example—steadfast, thoughtful, and full of grace. He showed us how to love deeply, give freely, and live gently. Now reunited with those he held dear, his legacy lives on in every patient gesture, every shared meal, and every peaceful moment we carry forward in his name.
