Nina Loyles Stepovich was born to William and Pauline Chumley Rager at home in Dinuba, CA on November, 9, 1934.
She attended Dinuba Schools and was a graduate of Dinuba High School. Nina worked for many years for Dinuba Schools and later became Director of Food Services providing meals for over 1,000 students a day.
She was a former member of Dinuba Christian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She loved dancing and traveling. She was a life member of the American Slavonic Society of both Fresno and Delano.
Nina was preceded in death by her first husband, George Loyles; her parents, William and Pauline Rager; as well as her sister, Janice Swiney of Dinuba.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Frank N. Stepovich; her brother, Derald Rager of Dinuba and Bullhead City, AZ; and her children, son, Ron Loyles of Fresno; daughter, Rena Canipe of Morven, NC; stepdaughter, Romi Stepovich of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, Fresno on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fresno on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
