Before moving to Fresno, Norma was a resident of Merced where she was a successful business owner (Pizza Villa) along with her husband, as well as a top Realtor for decades earning many prestigious awards. Norma was a charitable person and served as the President of the Hospital Assistance League and was a donor of Shriner’s Children and Saint Judes Research Hospital.
Norma was a beautiful and caring person. She was fearless and unstoppable, to the end. Norma loved being with her family and friends. She hosted the family gatherings, highlighted by Norma’s famous fried chicken, potato salad, fudge, pound or angel food cake, butter-horns and her famous broccoli casserole, which was published in a local cookbook for charity.
Norma loved traveling, spoiling her grandkids who called her “Maga” instead of grandma, playing cards, spending time with her dearest friends from Merced and shopping at Chico’s, where she was known by name. Words cannot express how much we will miss Norma as a wife, mom, Maga, and friend.
Norma was predeceased by her father Hugh Kelton, Mother Mable Kelton (Black) and her sister Patsy Dixon.
Norma is survived by Andy Cuttone, her husband of 64 years; their two children Michael Cuttone and Brian Cuttone; daughters-in-law Katharine Cuttone and Mishell Cuttone; grandchildren Ariana Cuttone, Austin Cuttone and his wife Dana Cuttone; Vito Cuttone; Rocco Cuttone and Sofia Cuttone; and great-granddaughters Kyler Cuttone and Saylor Cuttone; and her brother, Eddie Kelton.
The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Whitehurst Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Avenue, Fresno, California, 93720, by January 26, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma Jean Cuttone may be made to Shriners Children’s at https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en or Saint Judes Children Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org.
