With a heavy heart it is our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved mother Patricia Ann Reilly, affectionately known as Patty to family, on the day of our lord March 29th, 2026, at the age of 78.
Patricia was born March 18th, 1948, to Frank and Marge Reilly. Frank was a Scottish immigrant whose name is on a memorial plaque on Ellis Island. He was a WW2 veteran who fought with the Fourth Division at Utah beach on D-Day. Marge was a legal secretary who loved to dance the jitterbug and always had red licorice for her grandchildren. Patricia was raised in the predominantly Scottish and Irish town of Kearny, New Jersey. Patricia was the oldest of three girls. She and her sisters, Eileen and Cathie all attended St Cecilia Catholic School where they were known to dance the jig dressed in green plaid Irish skirts. The Reilly girls filled their home with singing in harmony to their favorite Beatles songs, Danny Boy and other Irish folk songs with their mother and father often joining in.
At the age of 20, Patricia married Peter Wilson and was blessed with two boys, Robert and Andrew and a little girl, Rebecca. In 1979 the family packed up and moved to Fresno, CA, to join Patricia's sister Cathie and her husband Russ Pipo. It was here that she continued her career in the Insurance industry at Aetna, Saunders & Saunders, Clovis Insurance, and DiBuduo & DeFendis. After living in Marin County for almost 2 decades, Patricia returned to Fresno to help care for her aging mother. Patricia was a doting grandmother to her only granddaughter, Maya. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time together.
Patricia cared deeply about other people and spent much of her life contributing to humanitarian projects. She advocated fiercely for The End Hunger Project, spending many years volunteering, fundraising, and hosting seminars. She was a local organizer for Hands Across America and countless other projects. Later in life she became more involved with the church as a born-again Christian. She was called to do missionary work in the Philippines, Mexico, and Israel.
Patricia loved to sing and perform. She performed in America Sings, and worked on a local West Side Story production. She also loved to write to express her spirituality.
Patricia is survived by her two sons Robert and Andrew Wilson, her daughter Rebecca Wilson, granddaughter Maya Seay, and her sisters Eileen Brundage, and Cathie Pipo.
Patricia was a loving mom, wife, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her sweetness, her sense of humor, and her infectious positivity. She loved and lived by the word of God every day of her life.
