Wow, she had a great long life and we're so blessed to have had such a loving, caring, mom and wife. What a great gal she was to all that knew her. She was quite the character, bringing a smile and a chuckle when she said funny things, which was quite often.
She was known as "Wonder Woman" at their cabin in Fishcamp where she loved to go with her family, friends, and her pets, because we all wondered where she went. She would never sit still because there were things to get done. She was such a hard working gal especially an asset at Dave Christian Construction Co, Inc. where she worked for 20 years and retired at 90! Her nickname (given by hubby) was the "the controller" and her motto was 'hush up and get the job done'. She was admired by all for her family values, her honesty, integrity and her kindness for her fellow man and animals.
She loved to Bowl and Golf in her younger days, sporting a trophy in both. She also was quite the family banker in our poker games and quite the lotto player.
She will be missed by her family and all that knew her.
Pauline is survived by Dan McCarthy, her loving husband of 64 years; her son, Bill McCarthy; twin daughters, Debbie Christian and her husband Jim, Denise Huffman and her husband Bob; and longtime family friend Joann. Also are her two grandsons, James and wife Renee and Michael. She has two furry grandchildren, Sunnie and Squeaky; and four great-granddaughters.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
Remembrances may be made to donor's favorite charity.
