Peter served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After that he educated himself and thrived in many positions at various companies. He soon became employed by the United States Postal Service as an electronic technician.
He loved his garden, his vehicles and family gatherings. Pete was definitely a man who knew how to have fun. He loved dancing, traveling with his wife and welcomed everyone who entered his home.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; his five children, his son, Peter Jr.; four daughters who are known as the "Lemon Girls"; four step-children; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
