Primitivo Vargas Diaz

Primitivo Vargas Diaz passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 in Fresno, CA at the age of 80. Mr. Diaz was born on March 18, 1933 in Merced, CA to Primitivo and Juanita (Vargas) Diaz. Primitivo worked as a Farm Labor Contractor for 45 years. In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry.

He is survived by his daughters, Carmen, Beatrice, Monica and Maria Angelina Diaz all of Fresno; son, Fermin Diaz of Denver, CO; sister, Angelina Gil of Baja, CA. Primitivo is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Primitivo was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita; son, Primitivo, Jr.; sisters, Lupe Oseguera, Carmen Duran, Julia Pena, and Maria Diaz; brother, Jose; and grandson, Joseph Heredia.

Visitation will be held at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Church, 4636 W. Dakota, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
