Randall Mark Penner

November 13, 1953 - September 7, 2015

Randall Mark Penner was born on November 13, 1953 to Katherine and Joseph Penner in Steinbach, Manitoba. He went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He graduated from Steinbach Regional Institute in 1971 and Fresno Pacific University in 1975. He married Debbie Ellis on October 16, 1976 and then attended San Joaquin College of Law where he graduated valedictorian in 1981.

Randy practiced law in Fresno for 33 years where he specialized in product liability defense, personal injury, and church litigation. Randy played hockey and soccer in college but later in life, golf became his passion. One of his favorite things to do was to go "seadogging" in the creeks and rivers near the family cabin in Camp Nelson. He enjoyed music, reading, and especially socializing. Randy was truly a great friend and mentor to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katherine.

He is survived by his wife Debbie; three sons Nicholas and his wife Melissa, Ryan and his wife Molly, and Matthew; and five grandchildren Carson, Madison, Joseph, Nathan, and Amelia. He is also survived by his sister Loreena and two brothers, Gary and Mike.

A Celebration of Randy's life will be held at St. James Anglican Cathedral, 4147 E. Dakota, Fresno, Ca, on Wednesday, September 16, at 10:30 am.
