I went to HS with Randy and later I started attending the Assembly in Caruthers. 
I love this guy and especially enjoyed reading about his outings to a restaurant and critique of the food he and Beckie ate. I know Randy is feasting now as the celebration goes on!

Randy often shared that he gave his life to Jesus at 6 years old, but I didn't know our brother  Randy until he was about 20. He was ministering with his dad & mom, Cecil & Jean Branson (who are both with the Lord) are Rialto First Assembly.
It was at this church that I would meet Dorothy,  my future wife. She wasn't privileged to have good parents & I soon found out that Randy considered her his sister because his parents watched over her like their own daughter.
Dorothy & I, even while dating, enjoyed fellowship with Randy & his new wife Jackie & over the years were welcomed into their home.
The entire Branson family embraced us as family.
Our oldest son Adam & their son Robbii were best cousin buddies. Our sons Adam & Brandon, now in their 30s  & 40s  fondly refer to them as Uncle Randy & Aunt Beckie & of course, called  Cecil & Jean, Meme & Papa & the same down the Branson  line.
Randy was loud & loved to sing & worship. I liked being near him in the choir because he made it easy to keep on part.
Over the years, our family drove many miles to share worship & time together. We also loved the Evangelmen Quartet he formed at Evangel Tabernacle.
When The quartet would go on "tour" we always tried to make sure our church was on the list. We enjoyed trying to spoil them with special dinners. Our friends  still listen to their cars, as do we
Randy also loved God's word & preached & taught the absolute truth from Genesis to Revelation. I remember one year we shared a common concern oh how too many Christians were spending more effort defending their behaviour than defending the truth of God's word. You know culture over gospel.
With so much deception out there, Randy , the Reverend Randy Branson, like his dad, Rev Cecil Branson, knew the truth of God's word & proclaimed  it. THANK YOU & God bless.

From my earliest memories, my big brother could be described with one word. Passionate.  Whoever or whatever he loved, it was with all of his heart! God, his family, southern gospel music, his country, Giants baseball, sci-fi and food to name a few! He loved these with his whole heart and was very proud and protective of what he was passionate about. I quickly learned to keep quiet if I had a different opinion than he did! 
Since he was almost 12 years older than me he often got stuck babysitting Lyndell and I   It was almost like I had 3 parents! He continued for the rest of his life “taking care” of me and checking in to make sure I was doing ok. 
I will miss my big brother calling me his “shoebox” because that name was filled with so much love! I wouldn’t bring him back, he made it to the Heaven he preached so passionately about, but until the day we see each other there, a big part of my heart will have a Randy sized hole in it!

Mine and Randy’s brains work very much alike, so I can state with confidence that Randy and I both knew that last hug and kiss would be our last this side of heaven. Now I don’t want any of you to think that I did not have faith to believe that God could heal Randy, I knew that God was going to heal him one way or another, and God did just that! 
So there is this man I know, a good man with a good heart. When my Daddy and I had a fractured relationship he stepped in and was the ‘father figure’ for me. When God mended that relationship he celebrated with us! I know where you are... I can only imagine you on those streets of gold! I will meet you just inside that Eastern Gate. And then we will stroll over Heaven!🤣 
I love you! When you get a minute hug and kiss mom and dad for me!

I remember a few years ago, you asked on Facebook on how to watch the Star Wars movies since you said you never seen them (this was when The Force Awakens first came out).  I  recommended you that you watch the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy before you see the new ones.   You also asked which franchise was better, Star Wars or Star Trek (a lot of people know which one was better).  I compared the two and I think you agreed with me.  Also,  I mentioned on Facebook several years back that Christian singer Carman was no longer cool.  You didn’t agree with me on that.  Another thing we did agree on was how horrible Obama was as president.  Rest in peace Brother Randy.  Have a blast in Heaven.

I remember when Pastor Randy would sing "Greater Love Has No Man Than This" on my birthday.  What a blessing that was to me! 

Randy Branson, you were the only person that was allowed to call me Josephine.......my name is not Josephine but with endearment that's  what I was called. No one else will ever be able to call me Josephine. Miss you friend...............

"Another singer join's the choir!"  Thank you Dad for being the example of what a real man, and a man of God should be! There are too many memories, and life lessons to share. But believe me I will never forget them! Even though you are physically gone from this earth, you will live forever in my heart until we meet in heaven again someday!  I love you Pop!

I met uncle Randy at Saturday children’s . My children got on the bus every Saturday . I sent them because I needed to get rid of my children , I was far from saved at that time. My children started to act different. They would correct my speech ( I caused like a truck driver) why lie.  They had the nerve to tell me “ mom please don’t say or do that Jesse gets sad when you do”, well that would rise the devil in me. So one Saturday I decided to get on that children’s church bus and tell those people off. Give them a peace of my mind. I was catholic and we don’t have kids tell us what to do. 
Well I was waiting for a good time to tell them what I thought. But they ( Randy and Lyndell ) had my full attention. I to this day do not remember what they spoke about. I remember magic and a lot of loud children, but when they had an alter call I was down front with a bunch of children receiving my Jesus into my heart. 
I was there after that for every service and event. It was home. My most proud was when I was Mary the mother of Jesus. It was to minister and save the lost. But it really minister to me. We were a real family

On behalf of Chris, Amber, Sheridan, and myself, we want to send our MOST sincerest condolences. We also want to want to rejoice in the fact that our cousin, Randy, is with Jesus now. Oh how happy he must be!!
Our hearts grieve with you, Beckie. Oh how we prayed and yearned that God would heal Randy here on this earth, so that you both could go traveling to share God's word through music and ministry. But we know, God's plans and ways are not our own. We so desired that for you both though. We love you so much and see how strong of a woman that you are. Like I shared with you, I know you and Randy have SO many jewels stored up in Heaven, your reward will be great!
We know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Randy is so very happy and is dancing on the streets of gold! He has left quite a legacy. Randy loved his Lord and his family SO VERY much, with every fiber of his being, and would always brag on them. He was always so proud of them, they were the apple of his eye.
Praying hard for all of you, Beckie, Stephanie & Floyd, Robii & April, Chrysta & Brandon, and for all of your grandchildren. We love you all and send all our love!

As many knows our family is different. While technically he was a cousin, by blood it is the same as an uncle. I always looked at Randy as one of my Uncles. After my mom passed Randy was always there. What I remember most about Uncle Randy was his passion for Southern Gospel music, and his passion for the Word of God. and how we was NOT shy on sharing how he felt to others.  I will miss him, but I know this is not goodbye but see you later in Glory.  

I first met Randy when he was pastoring Evangel Church and singing with the Evangelmen.  I  attended some of the gospel concerts he had there, and probably booked an artist or two with him over the years.  Randy & I found we had much in common, beginning with our love for southern gospel music, our love for food - we shared the same saying - "I don't eat to live, I live to eat", and our love of pepsi!  One more thing we had in common that I had forgotten about until I saw the memory table at the service was our love of all things Garfield.  I still have a boxful of various stuffed Garfields in the garage.   Gonna miss those facebook food updates that he always tagged me in!  Randy is missed on this earth, but so thankful he is no longer suffering, but rather experiencing his eternal reward for a life well lived.

Well Randy, what can I add to this.   You've been my Pastor, brother in Christ and friend.  You'll be missed but there's a great big reunion just waiting for all of us.   I can still remember the first Sunday I attended E.T.   I knew I was home.   I remember all this bags of food we used to put together for Thanksgiving.   They were great times of fellowship.   I appreciated you and your dedication to serving the Lord.

I have been blessed to have a wonderful grandfather like you. I remember how excited you were to meet me and Melody. You gave us both big hugs and welcomed us to the family, I loved it. I will never forget all the love you shared  with us and the story’s you told and the beautiful poems you would write to Nana every Christmas. I was blessed to have see and have those moments.

Ran-Daddy,
     Because Mama told me I couldn't call you Randy, I gave you my own special name, Ran-Daddy; and oh my Ran-Daddy how I love you!  I am so thankful for the unconditional love you've shown me all my life.  You've been a prime example of a faithful, Godly, loving husband and Father.  You set the bar pretty high for Floyd, but you taught him well so we've been happy for 25 years...Thank you very much!
     You've been such a great Daddy to me, I never once doubted your love and devotion.  As I have gotten older, married, had kids of my own, and they've had kids, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you pour into them, love on them, and spoil them just as you did me.  I'm thankful they have had a loving, doting PawPaw and GrePaw.  Every memory I will hold in my heart and treasure forever.
     In light of all that has transpired in the past year, I wanted to express this to you so you know just how I feel...I'm giving you your bouquet while you can enjoy it!  Although I am at peace with you going to Heaven, I am not happy about it at all.  For strictly selfish reasons I want to keep you here with me; but on the other hand I don't want you to suffer anymore.  So, when it's time, know that I will be ok, know that Mama will be taken care of and that we'll all get through it together because that's what we do...That is what you taught us!
     My sweet Ran-Daddy, thank you for being such a great Daddy.  I love you so much!  

Dad won his battle with cancer! 
Though his earthly body succumbed to disease; he is free, pain free, and enjoying the splendors of Heaven! Of course, the passage of scripture that leaps to mind is, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (I Corinthians 15:55, KJV). While our hearts break at the loss of our father, friend, and confidant, we rejoice in the fact that he is enjoying the reward for which he lived his life!
Dad and I had a very special relationship long before I married his daughter! He was more than just my Pastor, Mentor, and Friend ... I remember at one of the hospital visits many years ago, he looked at me and said, “You’d be here even if you hadn’t married my daughter.” I immediately said, “Of course!” and then, jokingly, said something in reference to our relationship being better if I hadn’t married Steph. 
A boy has many heroes ... They tend to fade away when one becomes a man. However, Dad was not just a boyhood hero! He was, and will remain, a hero as long as I live! Dad lived his life in such a way as to always point to the love of Christ! It was evident in every conversation (just ask every healthcare worker that came through the house in the last couple of weeks, Dad asked every one of them if they knew Jesus); it was obvious in the way that he loved mom and his family; and, it is clear by the outpouring of love and honor that is now being shown on his FaceBook wall in the tributes that those whom he touched are sharing! 
Dad lived his life in such a manner that embodies the words of American Indian Chief Tecumseh ... He said, “When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.” That is just what Dad did ... He spent his last hours on this earth looking forward to Heaven! Confident and satisfied with a life

I had the pleasure of meeting Randy through his medical care. Rebecca and Randy quickly became two of my favorites. Randy and Rebecca prayed with me for my husband Robb. My thoughts and prayers of comfort go out to the family an friends as we rejoice together for Randy's going home celebration. Thanks be to God for placing Randy and Rebecca into my life. 

I first met Randy when I was a teenager.  He and Becky came to Caruthers AOG as assistant pastors.  I was very impressionable and clung to all the teachings (and opinions) that this man spoke.  He may not have ever known it, but a huge part of who I am today is because of his teachings and friendship throughout the years.  Even until recently, I trusted his opinions and friendship and would confide in him often through Facebook.  I loved the way he would just put it out there on FB.  He was not afraid to speak his mind. I love his food posts.   My heart is so sad as I write this small tribute, but it is only because I'm going to miss him.  He is not replaceable.  However, I know Randy is celebrating in Glory today.  I will meet you again one day brother.  I know all of Heaven is celebrating for another saint of God has gone home.  My love and prayers are with the family.  

I didn't get a chance to know Brother Randy in person, only through facebook and My Brother Johnny!  I've read His post, and I have had the pleasure to hear Him sing!....What a wonderful voice and I could tell He Loved the Lord!....God Bless you Randy as you are now singing in front of the Lord!.....My prayers go out to the family, may God be your steadfast during this time............God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Pastor Randy, Bro Randy, my friend Randy. These  are just some of the names I would call him but to say he was my friend was very important to me. We would have long talks about Jesus, family, baseball and many other things. It was a blast to attend E.T and be part of something great! Playing in the band with his wife Becky ( who I also will call my friend ) was the high lite of attending E.T. I have and will always have fond memories working with Randy and never forget how both he and Becky would always be there when I needed to be up lifted. Rest in Jesus's arms my friend, you earned it, love you Bro !!!

WHEN MY KIDS AND I STARTED GOING TO EVANGEL WE WERE TREATED AS FAMILY RIGHT AWAY. SPENT A SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH WITH RANDY AND BECKIE JUST LIKE FAMILY. AS THE YRS AT EVANEL WENT BY WE LOVED THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT RANDY AND FAMILY BROUGHT TO THE CHURCH. IN MAY OF 1990 WE WERE VERY HONORED TO HAVE RANDY BE THE ONE WHO MARRIED LAYMON AND I AND I THEN BECAME PART OF THE FAMILY RANDY WOULD SAY JUST DONT CALL ME CUZ AND FROM THAT DAY ON THAT WAS WHAT WE CALLED EACH OTHER. I THANK GOD THAT WE WERE PART OF THE MOST AWESOME CHURCH IN FRESNO. RANDY WOULD GET SO BLESSED IN THE SPIRIT IT WAS AWESOME TO WATCH HIM. ONE DAY WE WILL ALL MEET IN HEAVEN AND OUR PENTCOSTAL SHOUTING AND SINGING WILL BE HEARD AGAIN.   LOVE BECKIE AND THE KIDS. GOD BE WITH YOU. RANDY WAS ONE AWESOME MAN.

One of my favorite memories is the Evangel  Tabernacle top 10 count down. He loved calling the cute little girls up with the scrolls . Each song, each word, meant so much to him. You could just see the joy on his face. The singing brought tears to his face and joy to his heart. His love of Jesus, family and church was so evident in all he did. Of late, his restaurant reviews on Face Book  were something I looked forward to every time.  Always informative , sometimes just plain funny.  Everything he did he did with his whole heart. I will miss you Randy O Branson. 

I remember when the holy spirit would take over the service and Pastor Randy would have the spirit hit him and he would run the aisles praising and dancing in the holy spirit. Also his food revues on Face Book. They were well written in depth and so hilarious at times. But his love for Jesus Christ and is faithfulness to our Lord and him singing praises to our Father and Savior is what stands out the most.

I appreciate the opportunity you have allowed me in serving your family.  It was an honor to walk with you through this hard time of planning Pastor Branson's Celebration of Life.  My sincere, and heartfelt, prayers for all of you.  You all are a shining example of the love and hope that we have in Jesus Christ. You have been a great example of the kind of man your husband, and father, was.  He now rests in the arms of Jesus until I have the privilege of shaking his hand and giving him a warm, brotherly embrace myself one day.
